My guiding vision is to help people combine awareness about social problems with collaboration across divides through empathy.
I am a scholar. Focusing on the notions of power, meaning, and truth, I use interpretive methods to explore how human beings might coexist in ways beneficial for everyone.
I am a nonfiction writer. Having authored a number of academic articles, I published a book about media in 2021. My current focus is on developing ideas through hypertexts (see also my essays). For the latest updates on my writing projects, visit my blog.
I am an editor. I work with individual clients and publishing companies (McGraw Hill, Taylor & Francis, Oxford University Press) to improve trade and academic manuscripts in social/behavioral sciences and the humanities.
I am in-between. As an immigrant with an interdisciplinary background and a passion for empathy, my strength is an ability to draw from different fields and communities, switch my perspective, and find solutions that combine contradictory truths.
