Hole in the world (poem)
Without you, there’s a hole in the world.
It’s not a void. It’s heavy. And it’s filled
With memories of happiness and pain.
More massive than a million of stars,
It’s hiding in the center of my heart.
I learned to live with it somehow over time,
Though first I thought it’d turn me inside out.
It sounds strange, but often I forget
About this dark giant…
But then I check, and it’s still there.
I think one day if I am not scared,
I’ll steer my spaceship into it.
It takes one skipped heartbeat.
Light can’t escape, the sky is black.
Beyond event horizon, no way back.
So I won’t tell those who are left behind
What I will find.
