Me As Your Editor

Picture
"Editor" is one of the many hats I wear.
I am also an interdisciplinary scholar, a nonfiction writer, a poet, and a mom. I am passionate about helping people communicate with each other better. Being an editor is a part of this mission.

I am currently working as a freelancer for such big publishing companies and W.W. Norton, Taylor & Francis, and McGraw Hill. My previous editing experiences include managing the Journal of Media Literacy Education between 2019 and 2022. I am currently a member of Freelance Editorial Association.

Why you may want me to be your editor:
  • I have vast experience with academic texts (reading, writing, editing).
  • I enjoy finding ways to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • I love language(s) and speak Russian, English, Spanish, German, and French.
  • I have a blast reading and re-reading texts in order to polish them.
  • I am detail-oriented when it comes to grammar, style, and sentence structure.
  • I am also happy to provide a big-picture perspective about the overall structure and flow.
  • I guarantee an individual approach that will fit your writing goals, stage, and budget.

If you want to learn more about me, I invite you to read about my print book Media Is Us and to explore my academic publications on Google Scholar. If you are ready for an adventure, dive into my ongoing hypertext projects to see what ideas I am developing now (beware: it's a work in progress!).
