So You Are Looking for an Editor?

Picture
Take a look at the statements below:
  • I need help with my academic paper.
  • I am finishing my dissertation/thesis.
  • I am not sure about my written English skills.
  • I want to turn my dissertation/thesis into a book.
  • I am a student/graduate with a limited budget.
  • I envision a trade book based on my scholarship.

If these statements apply to you, in any combination, you are in the right place!

You may know this feeling: the frustration of having a great idea, yet not being able to share it with others in a way that would help them care or understand. My goal is to deal with the causes of this frustration. Together we can make your manuscript clear, concise, and compelling!

I work with nonfiction texts, whether they are written for academic readers or a general audience. With my interdisciplinary background, I will be happy to consider manuscripts from any branch of social and behavioral sciences, as well as the humanities. The list of formats I take include dissertations and theses, white papers, website pages, blog posts, and plain language summaries (I am happy to discuss other formats).

Wondering who I am? Learn more about how I wear my freelance editor hat. Curious to know how I could help you? Visit this page for a step-by-step description of my working process. Worried whether you could afford my services? You can read about my flexible pricing policy here. And if you are wondering if it is safe to send your unpublished manuscript to a stranger, please take a look at my privacy policy.

I enjoy talking to people about their writing, whatever shape it is in (even if it's just a rough draft). Set up a free consultation to learn more! You can use the form below to start a conversation with me.
