About the movie Contagious :
In February 2021, British Health Secretary Matt Hancock revealed that watching the scramble for vaccines in the film inspired him to order a much larger quantity of COVID-19 vaccines for the U.K. than he was advised, accelerating that country's eventual rollout of its vaccination programme ahead of other European countries.
[but this is self-reporting, how do we know all the influences that led to this decision, causes are likely be more complex than just watching a movie]
Media representations: I come from media studies, and I know how many conversations are happening about representations of gender, race, sexuality
But who is talking about the good guys/ bad guys binary reproduced in media texts?
Connection between media/technology and self-awareness of human species. Oral history to written history; photography and memory; media representations (stories we tell)
